Mar. 17-19 Thunder Bay, ON

The Aboriginal Sport & Wellness Council of Ontario (ASWCO) is pleased to announce that it has officially selected Thunder Bay as the host site of the 2017 Ontario Nish Basketball Invitational (ONBI)

ONBI provides an annual forum for all levels of male and female Aboriginal basketball players from across the province to compete with one another, as well as offering an opportunity to unite Aboriginal youth in the province. The Championships are delivered in a round robin and championship bracket format.

Unlike previous ONBI tournaments this one will serve as a Team Ontario identification opportunity for U19, U16, U14 rosters ahead of the 2017 North American Indigenous Games held in Toronto, ON.

This is the third ONBI tournament and the first held in Thunder Bay with the previous two held in Rama and Timmins respectively.
